Business Description.


Free(Bee) is a membership short-term car rental service. 


The service uses a zero pollution urban vehicle running on compressed air
and offers

the maximum convenience to its
members such as the
possibility to pick-up, return and

park the vehicle in any legal parking in the participating cities.



Company leverages a unique partnership with MDI, the company developing this
zero

pollution transport system in Europe.




The Opportunity.



Free(Bee) addresses many of the current car industry challenges such as fuel efficiency,

eco-friendly cars, urban congestion or
alternative modes of ownership.


Service is designed for city short duration rentals
(average rental duration is estimated

at 2-3 hours).


We target
cities with population above 50,000 and density above 5,000/sqm (138 cities

representing a
37 million population).



Product and Services.



The AirPod – a unique 100% green low speed vehicle – is to be the only vehicle

proposed at first.

Developed by MDI, this revolutionary vehicle runs on compressed air and is designed for urban environments (see specifications below).
New, larger vehicles with greater range and speed are expected to be released in two years.

The service is characterized by its convenience, flexibility and simplicity with,
[a] the possibility to pick-up, return and park at any legal vehicle parking spot available anywhere, 
[b] an all-inclusive $8.00 rental fee per hour, 
[c] mobile phone and internet reservation, 
[d] Smart Cards allowing members to access and start cars, etc.
 
 
Competition.
 
We can be highly competitive with traditional urban transportation (bus, subway and taxis), and car renting/sharing companies, like ZipCar, 
Connect (Hertz) or Car2Go (Daimler).
Launched in 2000, ZipCar is the US leader with 6,000 cars, 275,000 members and over $200 million yearly revenues. 
With the support of enlisted cities, we will offer a ready-to-use service with more pickup/return/parking locations than ZipCar. And, we will 
bring a widely available affordable transport alternative to their citizens.
 
 
Business Model.
 
We estimate a vehicle cost at $10k per year in amortization, maintenance, parking, energy and other variable costs, and generate about 
$20k+ per year with 20 members per car and 200 hours of activity per car.
 
 
 
Go-to-Market Strategy.
 
Free(Bee) is implementing a three phase strategy:
 
 
 
Phase 1 (6 to 12 months):
 
setting up central marketing, technology and administration services, importing from France and registering the first vehicles and selecting
the first deployment city. 
We are currently discussing with several cities on how to facilitate deployment using preferred parking conditions and participation of city
employees.
 
 
Phase 2 (18 months):
 
deploying the service in the first city and breaking-even (~150 vehicles in activity and 2,000 members).
 
 
 
Phase 3 (starting mid year 3):
 
replicating the first launch in new cities. We estimate each new city will require a $1.5M investment that can be paid up in 36 months.
New deployments will be financed through a combination of company cash-flow, new equity raise and local investments.
 
 
 
Financing.
 
The Company is currently pulling together a $750k to $1M first round financing for phase 1 and launch of phase 2.
A second round of $1.5M will be organized on Year 2 to reach break middle on Q7. 
Company will be able to autofinance deployment in new cities starting end of Year 2. 
Deployment could be faster if we can obtain more financing.
